ABOUT THE ROLE
Integrated Health Hawaii (IHH) is creating an innovative mental health clinic that provides much needed relief to the communities of Hawaiʻi. This clinic is specifically designed to complement our amazing and well-established care coordination team while addressing the shortage of mental health providers in Hawai’i. We are looking for a motivated, go-getting Clinical Manager to oversee the implementation of clinical practices at IHH. Responsibilities include staff development, continuing education in social work practices, and clinical consultation regarding patient care. To thrive in this role, the Clinical Manager must understand different interventions based on the patient populations and the site of service. S/he must feel comfortable supporting screening and brief intervention, crisis intervention, care coordination, and ongoing treatment through a variety of modalities.
The Clinical Manager will also be responsible for the clinical oversight of the Care Coordination Program and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify and meet those needs. S/he is responsible for providing both small group and individual clinical supervision for IHH staff. The Clinical Manager supports the overall organizational goals of the company and maintains strong working relationships with PMAG executive leadership, independent physicians in the organization, mental health specialists, and community partners. Together, these partners identify how each organization can support one another to meet patients’ needs. The Clinical Manager must be an independently licensed clinical social worker in Hawaii and can provide direct patient care and crisis intervention when needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages and oversees all clinical functions of care coordination, behavioral health, and substance use programming.
Provides direct clinical supervision in one-on-one and group settings
Provides clinical training for the most current clinical intervention strategies for behavioral health.
Provides ongoing assessment and direction of staff including review of clinical practice and identifying training needs and opportunities.
Works with the Director of Research and leadership to ensures compliance with quality standards, standards of practice for clinical care, and quality standards in documentation and billing.
Develops and maintains systems to improve patient access to services, patient flow and response to urgent care needs, and time-effective treatment.
Works with the Director of Research and leadership in designing and promoting systems to implement strategic goals and manages organizational development to facilitate change.
Works with leadership to create a culture and environment that promotes job satisfaction, team collaboration, positive morale, and staff participation.
TRAINING, DEGREES, and CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) years work experience performing at a manager level
Two (2) years post licensure work experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Current active license in the State of Hawaii required.
Strong leadership qualities with a track record of successfully executing complex initiatives

Experience with screening for common mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.

Working knowledge of differential diagnosis of common mental health and/or substance abuse disorders, when appropriate.

Ability to effectively engage patients in a therapeutic relationship, when appropriate.

Ability to work with patients by telephone as well as in person. Experience with assessment and treatment planning for common mental health and/or substance use disorders.

Working knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial treatments and brief behavioral interventions for common mental health disorders, when appropriate (e.g., motivational interviewing, problem-solving treatment, behavioral activation).

Basic knowledge of psychopharmacology for common mental health disorders that is within appropriate scope of practice for type of provider filling role. Experience with evidence-based counseling techniques
